I am currently a Product Design Research Assistant at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Previously I worked as a Freelance Product and Graphic designer, working mainly with Mewscraft Ltd. and LimeGreen Marketing, but I specialise mainly with small electronics and other technological products.
As a BSc Product Design graduate, I feel I have just began to gain a great appreciation for the world of design. The constant advancement of 3D printing technologies continue to fascinate me. As a multi-disciplinary designer, I enjoy combining technology and usability, to create innovative solutions to problems. I am particularly keen on Art Deco inspired design, with a selection of my projects being inspired directly by the forms, colours and materials used from the design era. I have also dabbled with multiple other areas of design in my free time, including web design, graphics design and games design.
Sustainability and ethical design are two important factors in my work and I feel it is important that every project I work on stays true to these principles. I feel that using eco-friendly materials and new technologies is the best way to move design forward. I enjoy designing with cutting edge technologies and pushing the boundaries of what current technology can do.
In my spare time, I like to create hobby designs and manufacture them on my desktop 3D printer, such things include props, working prototypes, decorations or replacement/improved parts.
